RESORTS WORLD LAS VEGAS SHARES CONTINUED SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS AND GREEN INITIATIVES IN HONOR OF EARTH DAY

On Thursday, April 20, the luxury resort will host its second annual ladybug release event in partnership
with Park West

LAS VEGAS (APRIL 13, 2023) – Resorts World Las Vegas continues to be committed to reducing its
environmental impact and promoting sustainable tourism since opening in 2021. From the building
design and alternative transportation, to highly efficient partnerships and programs, the resort has
implemented various green initiatives across the property to positively impact the environment,
including the return of the ladybug release event in honor of Earth Day.

Taking place on Thursday, April 20 at 4 p.m., Resorts World Las Vegas will host its ladybug release event
for the second time following the success and excitement of last year’s release. The property will come
together with Park West and Resorts World’s team members to release over 100,000 ladybugs
throughout the destination’s outdoor landscape. A sustainable and fun initiative, the ladybug release
event is a part of the resort’s integrated pest management program that naturally minimizes the use of
pesticides and benefits the wider Las Vegas Valley.

In addition to the unique ladybug release event, Resorts World Las Vegas provides continued efforts to
achieve long-term sustainability through eco-friendly property-wide initiatives including:

Integrated Building Design
Resorts World Las Vegas was developed and designed with sustainability efforts top of mind and worked
to reduce environmental impact at every stage of development. By utilizing the pre-existing design
structures along with eco-friendly materials throughout the property, the resort conserved a
considerable amount of resources. In addition to maintaining the existing design, Resorts World Las
Vegas developed a tree salvage program where nearly 300 trees from the original Stardust property
were kept at a tree farm, and now roughly 100 of those trees have been replanted to enhance the
exterior of the property.

Energy and Water Conservation
Prioritizing energy and water conservation, Resorts World continues to be a leader in the industry. Last
year, the property received its LEED Gold Certification, which placed the resort amongst the best energy
efficient facilities in the world. To manage the energy used, Resorts World Las Vegas utilizes a patented
indoor air monitoring system to continuously optimize ventilation rates to improve indoor air quality
and reduce energy usage. Adding to its efforts, the resort also operates with 100% LED lighting; HVAC
and central plant enhancements; building automation systems; and roofing, façade, and window system
upgrades across the 88-acre property, all working to reduce the destination’s energy consumption by
36%. To further its efforts in energy efficiency, Resorts World Las Vegas is also in the process of finalizing
an agreement with NV Energy to procure 100% renewable electricity and continues to conduct onsite
studies for the property and its future site developments.

Additionally, Resorts World provides a comprehensive water management program across the property
to assist with its water conservation efforts. Implementing efficiency measures such as low-flow fixtures
has helped reduce water consumption over 40%, while drought-tolerant and adaptive horticulture and
landscaping has reduced water demand by nearly 75%.

Alternative Transportation and Electric Vehicle Charging
To reduce the carbon footprint, Resorts World Las Vegas offers guests a variety of options that allow for
convenience and ease. To date, the property offers preferred parking for carpools, vanpools and fuelefficient
vehicles, as well as 28 electric vehicle charging spots with an expansion plan set for the coming
year. Additionally, with six bus stops located within a quarter of a mile from the resort, the property
encourages the use of commute alternatives through its partnership with Club Ride and is also the first
and only property to offer a stop for The Vegas Loop.

Responsible Operations
In addition to resource sustainability, Resorts World Las Vegas implements programs to support food
waste reduction and recycling initiatives. The property offers more than a dozen different recycling
streams across the resort and has developed strategic partnerships with organizations including Clean
the World, U.S. Oil Solutions, Las Vegas Livestock, and more. Through its efforts, the property continues
to reduce plastic waste by utilizing full-sized Byredo amenities made with 99% post-consumer recycled
plastic, water bottle filling stations throughout the resort, Hilton Digital Key systems, and works to
create greater efficiency operations such as electric forklift trucks and pallet jacks, among many others.
